Twilight Real Estate Photos in Jacksonville: When They're Worth It

Twilight is our specialty, and it's the single biggest upgrade most listings can make to their cover photo. Here's when it pays off and how it works.
Listings where twilight shines
Homes with pools, waterfront or marsh views, landscape and pool lighting, large windows, outdoor kitchens and covered lanais. In Ponte Vedra, Nocatee and along the river, twilight helps a luxury listing look the part. It also helps any home stand out in a crowded price range, where every other listing leads with the same daytime front photo.
How a twilight shoot works
We arrive before sunset, prep the exterior and turn on every light — interior, pool, landscape and string lights. The best images come during the blue hour, roughly 20 to 30 minutes after sunset, when the sky and the lights balance. We shoot multiple exposures and blend them for clean, natural results.
Timing in Jacksonville
Sunset here ranges from about 5:30 pm in early winter to about 8:30 pm in summer. Most clients book an afternoon shoot that runs into sunset, so the home only needs to be ready once.
Real or virtual twilight?
Real twilight ($100 added to a shoot, or $250 as a standalone session) captures actual light — glowing windows, reflections in the pool, landscape lighting — and is the right choice for luxury and waterfront homes. Virtual twilight ($25 per image) converts a daytime photo into a dusk-style image and is a smart value for everyday listings or when weather doesn't cooperate.
